# Linux storage 筆記

一些關於硬碟與分割區的筆記

### NTFS mounting

1. 目前首選 paragon 的 **ntfs3**，kernel 級支援
2. 其次 **ntfs3g**，在 ubuntu LTS 22.04 可能會遇到 fuse 分割區無法變更檔案權限的問題

### NTFS 分割區損壞

1. unmount 後 ```sh
    sudo ntfsfix -d {partitionID}
    ```
2. 再不行就給 Windows chkdsk，誰叫你要用NTFS

### Disk unable to eject

Ｑ：BIOS設置好了熱插拔，系統卻不給硬碟斷電
Ａ：

1. 照常 unmount (WARNING, this does NOT check if disk is mounted, it removes the device immediately!)
2. root 下 ```sh
    echo 1 > /sys/block/{DeviceID}/device/delete
    ```

### RAID1 容量升級

0. 不要偷懶使用 **[cockpit](https://cockpit-project.org)** 的 storage 功能管理 RAID，那部份很破
1. 推薦用 **mdadm** 新建整個 RAID 群組再把資料複製過去，不然那個同步會等到瘋掉
